About Mariette, owner of Ariel Design Studio

My education in Interior Designed started at Boston House School of Interior Design. From there I studied with Mrs Van Harmelen at White House ID School. I worked under Danny Meyer at Private Collections, Cape Town. From there I moved to my home town, Nelspruit and worked for 6 years with Brechtje Kamstra at Front Door Interiors. In 2009 I left to start my own business, Ariel Design Studio.

My projects have enabled me to travel throughout South Africa as well as Mozambique.

My work has featured in Elle Decor magazine, Women and Home, Hospitality Magazine, Lowveld Get-it as well as Season's in Africa magazine.

My designs are often discussed as being colourfull, fresh and exciting with a saveur for the unexpected. My main goal with Interior Design is to pleasantly surprise the client with an unanticipated mix of style and comfort.

I am also the owner of Little Lamp Lady, a lampshade manufacturing business. Please visit my website on www.littlelamplady.com
